Priscilla Gates is the Liaison Nurse with the Survivorship Care Planning Implementation Project in the Australian Cancer Survivorship Centre. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of programs and pathways for Survivorship Care Plans across Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
Priscilla is a senior clinical nurse and practiced as a Haematology Nurse Coordinator at Peter Mac for 12 years. In April 2008 she went on to develop the role of Haematology Late Effects Advanced Practice Nurse and continues to perform in that role.
Priscilla holds a Graduate Diploma in Cancer Nursing and is currently enrolled in a Masters of Philosophy at Melbourne University. Her research sets out to test a novel, nurse-led intervention to enhance the general health status of survivors of Hodgkin Lymphoma, attending a multi-disciplinary, haematology late-effects clinic
