Peter Baade

Professor Peter Baade is an experienced biostatistician, working at the Cancer Council Queensland (Australia) since 2003, where he leads a research program in cancer epidemiology designed to describe the patterns of cancer-related outcomes both nationally and internationally, and specifically to better understand why these outcomes depend on where people live and the role of remoteness, area disadvantage and ethnicity on these patterns. He is the co-lead of the award-winning Australian Cancer Atlas project (https://atlas.cancer.org.au). He holds Adjunct (Queensland University of Technology) and Honorary (Queensland University) Professor appointments. He has published/in press 300+ peer reviewed manuscripts with over 30,000 citations and a h-index of 57 (source: Scopus), along with numerous monographs. Over his career he has received more than $40million in total grant funding, including NHMRC and ARC grants, and has co-supervised several PhD and Research Masters students to completion.
