Gail Garvey
University of Queensland, QLD, Australia
Prof Garvey is an Aboriginal researcher and chief investigator on several epidemiological and psycho-oncology cancer projects involving First Nations Australians. She plays a leadership role in cancer research nationally and internationally. Gail strongly advocates to ensure the voices of First Nations Peoples are privileged throughout the research process to achieve maximum impact from research. Prof Garvey is a member of COSA Council and Cancer Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Leadership Group. Gail works with First Nations Cancer and Wellbeing Research Group, the Faculty of Medicine, and The University of Queensland.
