Associate Professor Meera Agar is the Director of Palliative Care, Braeside Hospital, HammondCare, Clinical trial director Ingham Institute of Applied Medical Research South West Sydney, and holds academic appointments at Flinders University and University of NSW. Her research interests include cognitive issues in advanced illness, and clinical trials of interventions and health services in palliative populations. She completed her PhD in 2013 exploring the management of delirium at the end of life. She has particular interests in the care of people with advanced illness in community and residential aged care settings
