Dirkje Sommeijer, MD, PhD is working as a clinical research fellow at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre in Sydney. She has finished her training as a medical oncologist in November 2011. In 2004 she has been awarded a PhD on "Inflammation and Coagulation in Diabetes Mellitus". She will start working as a medical oncologist at the Academic Medical Centre, Amsterdam and Flevohospital Almere from the 1st of Februari 2014.
