David Mizrahi is an Exercise Physiologist, who is currently completing his PhD investigating the role of physical activity in survivors of childhood cancer. He has completed a Masters degree that investigated the role of participating in a physical activity intervention for women with recurrent ovarian cancer during chemotherapy, and has presented this research in Australia and overseas to medical and allied health staff, as well as at consumer support days. David also teaches in the undergraduate Exercise Physiology program at the University of New South Wales. David volunteers in seminar talks to medical oncologist, nurses, patients and their families on the benefits of exercise in terms of long term health and minimising the symptoms of cancer and associated treatment. David believes providing education and guidance into the benefits of physical activity to patients and families should be part of standard cancer care.
